Contact-less Food Drive

Contact-less Food Drive
Covid-19 Food DriveAs our school and community was enveloped by the Coronavirus, the NHS sought some way to contribute without risking the spread of the virus. NHS advisers, Peggy White & Mary Scorese came up with the idea of hosting food drives outside members’ homes. By collecting non-perishable food at the curbside, we could help those in need without spreading disease. From April 24 - May 3, members hosted 13 collection sites. The food drives were promoted through email, social media and word of mouth. Mr. deMarrais & Mrs. White tweeted daily about the day’s collection site. We were incredibly inspired by the generosity of the community and NHS members were gratified that so many people came out to help.
