Written and submitted by Ms. Claire Mazan, Family and Consumer Science Teacher at Pascack Hills High School

When Libby Wikfors was a Freshman at Pascack Hills High School, I had the pleasure of being her teacher in my 21st century life skills class. Under my instruction Libby learned to design and hand sew felt monsters for children, which we donated to the Bergenfield baby clinic in Bergen County.  The donations of these felt monsters are offered to the young children at the vaccine clinic to help them from crying after receiving disease fighting vaccines.

Libby has recognized on her own, the good will this project has generated. Libby designed, purchased, and donated her own supplies to create these felt monsters. She continues to make them to donate to the Bergenfield Health Department.

The Borough of Bergenfield has recognized the true generosity and talent of Libby, and on July 20, 2021, she received a Proclamation and key to the city, honoring her charity and dedication to this project.

All of us at Pascack Hills are proud of Libby for her dedication to these children and for the recognition she received.
