Music Students Continue to Succeed in the Region

We are excited to announce the recent accomplishments of some of our outstanding musicians.

Four of our Pascack Hills students auditioned for the 2018 North Jersey Region Choir, and all four were accepted! Zainah Alizade and Gianna Lucido were selected for the Mixed Choir, while Amber Leung and Sarah Winston were selected for the Treble Choir.

Katherine Park and Danny Jeong from Pascack Hills auditioned and were accepted into the NJSMA Region I Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. Katherine, a sophomore at Pascack Hills,  auditioned for the Orchestra on Viola. Danny, a junior as Pascack Hills, auditioned on Clarinet.  He was one of four clarinets accepted into the Wind Ensemble and is one of only two clarinets to be used in the Region Orchestra.

Students selected for the Region Choirs from our Pascack Hills High School are under the direction of Mrs. Margarita Elkin, while students selected for the Region Orchestra and Wind Ensemble are under the direction of Mr. Ryan Dore.

The NJSMA Region Ensemble concerts will take place on the following schedule:

  • Region Choir concert at Bloomfield High School on Jan. 27th at 4pm
  • Region Band Concert will be at Parsippany Hills High School on Jan. 28th at 3pm
  • Region Orchestra Concert will be at Paramus High School on Feb. 11th at 3pm

The students have worked incredibly hard to prepare and compete at these rigorous auditions.  The Pascack Hills community is incredibly proud of these outstanding students as their acceptance into these choirs and ensembles is a true testament to their hard work and talent.
