Pascack Valley Regional High School District uses ParentSquare to communicate with our enrolled parents and students. We now have our system available for incoming 9th grade parents who will be enrolled starting the 2025-26 academic year. Incoming 9th Grade Registration Process

Prior to your student entering the PVRHSD, there are two important steps that need to be completed: Registration and Course Requests. Our process is new this year, completed entirely in our Student Information System (Genesis), so even if you have done this previously for an older child, we ask everyone to carefully read the instructions below on how to complete this new process.

Step 1 - Registration (Due Date: January 17, 2025)

The registration form in Genesis includes three pieces: Register Students, Contacts and Addresses, and a Review and Submit section. Many fields are required, and we ask families to complete as much information as possible.

Note: If you need to view the registration in another language, click “Select language” in the top right corner.

Register Students

  1. Click “Add student” and enter student information as requested. 
  2. Review answers and click Save Student when finished.  Two important notes:
    • After saving, the “Status” next to your student must say “Proceed”. If it says “Missing Fields”, click on “Modify student” to fill in the missing information. 
    • If you have more than one child registering for 9th grade, click “Add another student” and repeat the above steps.
  3. When all students are added, click “Advance to the next screen".

Contacts and Addresses

  1. Click “Add primary Address and primary Parent/Guardian”.  Review and add additional Guardian/Residence if applicable. The first Parent/Guardian you enter information for should be the primary contact for the student(s).
  2. Add at least one emergency contact.
  3. Under “Other Contacts” please include your child’s physician and dentist contact information.
  4. Once filled out, click “Advance to next screen".

Review and Submit

  1. Review and make any necessary edits before clicking “Submit registration information”.
  2. Enter your email address for confirmation, and hit “Submit”.
  3. Once submitted, you may log out and you are now finished with the registration form

Step 2 - Course Requests (Request window: January 20 through January 31, 2025)

On Monday, January 20, an email will be sent to all parents/guardians who have registered (Step 1 above) with complete information on how the Course Request process will work. This email will be very important as it will include your login information as well as instructions on how to make course requests in Genesis.
