Valley Chabad/Eternal Flame Program

From Pascack Hills English teacher Heather Lutz, who attended the event with several students:

"... I joined numerous Hills students at an event sponsored by Valley Chabad and its Eternal Flame program, which featured Auschwitz survivor, Itu Lustig (there was a story about her on the front page of The Record). Valley Chabad generously invited our students and their families free-of-charge, and it was incredible to see how many students capitalized on this singular opportunity to bear witness to survivor testimony. At the end of the program, we learned that it was Itu's 94th birthday, so all teens were invited up to celebrate and surprise her with a cake! It was truly a special experience to share with them."

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION TO RETURN TO SCHOOL IF SYMPTOMS:

We can not accept home tests at this time to rule out COVID19.

  • Please notify the attendance officer or the school nurse office if your child is exhibiting Covid-19 compatible symptoms.

IF COVID19 POSITIVE:

  • Please notify your school Nurse

  • Student will need to remain home for 5 days from symptom onset (symptom onset is considered day “0”)

  • Days 6-10: Students may return ONLY if no symptoms and fever free for 24 hours.  They must wear a well fitted mask at all time, indoor and outdoors, during this time frame while at school.

  •  Regardless of immunization status of other family members, those who are COVID 19 positive should be isolated from others in the household, if possible, for the full 10 days
