Start of School Information

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians:

I hope this letter finds each member of our Pascack Hills family relaxing and enjoying the summer. At Pascack Hills, we have been busy finalizing the schedule, programs and building upgrades for the 2021-2022 school year. Although there are still some details to work out, we look forward to welcoming our incoming 9th grade students for orientation on Tuesday, August 31, and opening our doors to all students on Wednesday, September 1.

Once again, in an effort to keep the process of completing forms as simple and streamlined as possible, all forms are available on the Genesis Parent/Student Access. Here, parents and students are able to review, complete and digitally sign all required forms in addition to maintaining current contact information. Below you will find detailed information on Genesis and laptop distribution. If you have any questions regarding Genesis Parent/Student Access, please contact Ms. Maria Valentino at [email protected].

Below you will find a link to information regarding school physicals. As a reminder, all freshmen and all athletes must submit an updated physical.

Finally, I would like to encourage all parents to join our Pascack Hills Parent Faculty Association (PFA). The PFA provides direct support to our teachers, club advisors, coaches and administrative team. PFA membership is an important way to stay connected to our school community. Please see the link below for more detailed information about the PFA.

PLEASE STAY HOME AND NOTIFY YOUR NURSE IF YOUR CHILD HAS:

  • At least two of the following symptoms: fever (measure or subjective), chills, rigors (shivers), myalgia (muscle aches), headache, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, congestion, or runny nose;

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION TO RETURN TO SCHOOL IF SYMPTOMS:

We can not accept home tests at this time to rule out COVID19.

  • Please notify the attendance officer or the school nurse office if your child is exhibiting Covid-19 compatible symptoms.

IF COVID19 POSITIVE:

  • Please notify your school Nurse

  • Student will need to remain home for 5 days from symptom onset (symptom onset is considered day “0”)

  • Days 6-10: Students may return ONLY if no symptoms and fever free for 24 hours.  They must wear a well fitted mask at all time, indoor and outdoors, during this time frame while at school.

  •  Regardless of immunization status of other family members, those who are COVID 19 positive should be isolated from others in the household, if possible, for the full 10 days
